Info
Q. How far in advance should I place my order?
A. Place your order as soon as possible. We will put your order
on reserve until your preferred date of delivery. Your order should be in our
system at least a week in advance. However, we will do our best to accommodate
ASAP orders. There maybe an additional charge for Rush deliveries.
Q. How do I let you know when I need the ladybugs?
A. On the order form there is a place for you to indicate your
preferred date of delivery. There is also a comment section for you to make any
special request regarding the delivery of your package. For example, if your
party is on a Saturday, delivery needs to be before Friday. Or, if you need the
package to be left at the front door. Or, if it is a gift and you want to send a
message.
Q. What is the Rush Processing fee?
A. The Rush Processing fee is charged if you are requesting that
your order be delivered within 3 days of placing your order on-line. The fee is
determined according to your preferred date. This includes ASAP orders. The fee
is $5.00 and will be charged regardless of whether the Rush Processing fee box
is checked on the order form or not. We want to accommodate our customers as
much as possible. Thank you for your business.
Q. If I reserve my order for a later date, when is
my credit card charged?
A. If you place your order now and wish for it to be put on
reserve for a later date, your credit card is not charged until your order goes
into processing; up to five days prior to shipping.
Q. The temperature is below freezing in my area. Can
I still receive ladybugs?
A. If your daytime temperatures don't get above freezing, we
can't ship ladybugs. There is too much of a risk for death since they will be
traveling during the night when temperatures are even colder.
Q. Can we release ladybugs for our winter party?
A. Sure, as long as temperatures are above 55 degrees, the
ladybugs will be fine. Less than 55 degrees and the ladybugs can't fly- it's too
cold. If you still want to release, just let them go where they can crawl under
some forest debris. The leaves and wood chips will provide shelter.
Q. What company do you use for delivery?
A. Generally, we use USPS. You can choose USPS Overnight delivery
or Priority Service. Sometimes overnight delivery with USPS is not available
due to your location and we will opt for another carrier or a different delivery
service.
Q. Do you ship out of the country?
A. No. First, Ladybugs are perishable and may not survive the
extensive travel time. Second, most countries have strict regulations about what
they will allow to enter their country. We are unable to ship to Hawaii, or any
other US owned island. |
